The space has acquired the parts necessary to start building a 3D printer. I am sure everyone would like to print the odd part every now and then. This project needs your help. Any amount can be donated, but if you donate $100 or more in parts or money towards the project; I will print the parts for your very own 3D printer. The printed parts are not all you need to build the printer, but it is a very good start and the average cost of these parts are between $100 and $300 on ebay. The total parts list is included in the wiki then you can use the step by step instructions guide (that I am building as part of this project) to assemble your own RepRap. If you would like another style of 3D printer like a cupcake or a different type of RepRap, I can print those parts too and give you advice on where to buy the rest of your parts from. Any amount is helpful and all donations are taken. You can either give cash to a keyholder, drop cash/check/money order into locker number 9 at the space, or you can submit credit card payments via paypal (link coming soon) to the space. Make sure you put RepRap or 3D printer in the notes field. If you want to check out what parts are needed please go to Unallocated Space’s 3D Printing Wiki We will also be printing up the parts for a printer to go to Tokyo,Japan to aid in interhackerspace relations. Any questions should be directed at HexJunkie.
